Jingle Bell lyrics by James Lord

Jingle Bells was written by James Lord Pierpont and published as the song, "One Horse Open Sleigh" in the fall of 1857.

Jingle Bells was originally penned to be a Thanksgiving song. With so many choirs adding it into their Christmas song rotations it is widely sung with other Christmas Carols.

Jingle Bells

Dashing through the snow

On a one horse open sleigh

O'er the fields we go,

Laughing all the way

Bells on bob tail ring,

making spirits bright

What fun it is to laugh and sing

A sleighing song tonight

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells

Jingle all the way

Oh, what fun it is to ride

In a one horse open sleigh

Jingle bells, jingle bells

Jingle all the way

Oh, what fun it is to ride

In a one horse open sleigh

A day or two ago,

I thought I'd take a ride,

And soon Miss Fanny Bright

Was seated by my side;

The horse was lean and lank

Misfortune seemed his lot

We got into a drifted bank,

And then we got upsot.

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells

Jingle all the way

Oh, what fun it is to ride

In a one horse open sleigh

Jingle bells, jingle bells

Jingle all the way

Oh, what fun it is to ride

In a one horse open sleigh

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,

Jingle all the way!

Oh, What fun it is to ride

In a one horse open sleigh.

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,

Jingle all the way!

Oh, What fun it is to ride

In a one horse open sleigh.

Now the ground is white

Go it while you're young

Take the girls tonight

And sing this sleighing song

Just get a bob tailed bay

two-forty as his speed

Hitch him to an open sleigh

And crack! you'll take the lead

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,

Jingle all the way!

Oh, What fun it is to ride

In a one horse open sleigh.

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,

Jingle all the way!

Oh, What fun it is to ride

In a one horse open sleigh.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas Lyrics Michael Bublé

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Everywhere you go

Take a look at the five and ten, it's glistening once again

With candy canes and silver lanes that glow

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Toys in every store

But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be

On your own front door

A pair of Hopalong boots and a pistol that shoots

Is the wish of Barney and Ben

Dolls that'll talk and will go for a walk

Is the hope of Janice and Jen

And Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Everywhere you go

There's a tree in the Grand Hotel, one in the park as well

It's the sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Soon the bells will start

And the thing that'll make 'em ring is the carol that you sing

Right within your heart

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Toys in every store

But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be

On your own front door

Sure, it's Christmas once more

White Christmas Lyrics Bing Crosby 2022

The melody of "White Christmas" came to Irving Berlin on the set of the musical film "Top Hat" in 1935. Mark Sandrich, who directed the musical, and Fred Astaire, who played the leading role, would go on to be involved in the making of the film "Holiday Inn" in which the song is prominently featured. Sandrich didn't like the song, but Astaire loved it.

Bing Crosby first recorded this song in 1942 and re-recorded in 1947.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas

Just like the ones I used to know

Where the tree tops glisten

And children listen

To hear sleigh bells in the snow, oh, the snow

I said, I'm dreaming of a white Christmas

With every Christmas card I write

May your days be merry and bright

And may all your Christmas' be white

(Let's go, sticks, let's go)

I said, I'm dreaming of a white, oh, Christmas

Just like the ones I used to know

Where the tree tops glisten

And the children listen

To hear sleigh bells in the snow

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas

With every Christmas card I write

May your days, may your days, may your days

Be merry and bright

And may all your Christmas' be white

(Come on now, woo)

(J-man, up, up, up)

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas

With every Christmas card I write

May your days be merry and bright

And may all your Christmas' be white

Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)

Song by Ellie Greenwich, Jeff Barry,

Oh, oh

Yeah, yeah oh oh

Ooh yeah

the snow's comin' down

(Christmas) I'm watchin' it fall

(Christmas) lots of people around

(Christmas) baby, please come home

the church bells in town

(Christmas) are ringing in song

(Christmas) full of happy sounds

(Christmas) baby, please come home

They're singing Deck The Halls

But it's not like Christmas at all

'Cause I remember when you were here

And all the fun we had last year

pretty lights on the tree

(Christmas) I'm watching them shine

(Christmas) you should be here with me

(Christmas) baby, please come home

They're singing Deck The Halls

But it's not like Christmas at all

'Cause I remember when you were here

And all the fun we had last year

if there was a way

(Christmas) I'd hold back this tear

(Christmas) but it's Christmas day

please

(Please) please

(Please) please

(Please) please (please)

Baby please come home (please)

(Christmas) baby please come home

(Christmas) baby please come home

(Christmas) baby please come home (Christmas)

Oh yeah yeah

Baby it's cold outside lyrics Dean Martin

Baby, It’s Cold Outside” was originally written by Frank Loesser in 1944 and has subsequently been covered countless times during the festive period, perhaps most famously by Dean Martin and Marilyn Maxwell in 1959.

In the late 2010s, the track has faced backlash over its forceful nature towards the female protagonist, largely instigated by an American radio station banning the song in support of the #MeToo movement.

I really can't stay

Baby, it's cold outside

I've got to go away

Baby, it's cold outside

This evening has been

Hoping that you'd drop in

So, very nice

I'll hold your hands, they're just like ice

My mother will start to worry

Beautiful, what's your hurry?

My father will be pacing the floor

Listen to that fireplace roar

So, really I'd better scurry

Beautiful, please don't hurry

But maybe just a hald a drink more

I'll put some records on while I pour

The neighbors might think

Baby, it's bad out there

Say, what's in this drink?

No cabs to be had out there

I wish I knew how

Your eyes are like starlight now

To break this spell

I'll take your hat, your hair looks swell

I ought to say, "No, no, no sir"

Mind if I move in closer?

At least I'm gonna say that I tried

What's the sense in hurting my pride?

I really can't stay

Baby, don't hold out

Baby, it's cold outside

Ugh, you're very pushy, you know?

I'd like to think of it as opportunistic

I simply must go

Baby, it's cold outside

The answer is, "No"

But, baby, it's cold outside

The welcome has been

How lucky that you dropped in

So nice and warm

Look out the window at that storm

My sister will be suspicious

Gosh, your lips look delicious

My brother will be there at the door

Waves upon a tropical shore

My maiden aunt's mind is vicious

Gosh, your lips are delicious

But maybe just cigarette more

Never such a blizzard before

I've got to get home

Baby, you'll freeze out there

Say, lend me your comb?

It's up to your knees out there

You've really been grand

I thrill when I touch your hand

But don't you see?

How can you do this thing to me?

There's bound to be talk tomorrow

Think of my life-long sorrow

At least there will be plenty implied

If you got pneumonia and died

I really can't stay

Get over that hold out

Baby, it's cold

Baby, it's cold outside

Okay, fine, just another drink

That took a lot of convincing

Last Christmas Lyrics Wham

This track was released by Epic Records on a double-A-side single with "Everything She Wants" in December 1984.

George Michael wrote the introduction and chorus melody to this song in his old room at his parent's home in 1984 when he and Andrew Ridgeley paid a usual Sunday visit. He went upstairs for an hour, and then played the melody to Ridgeley who described it later as a moment of wonder.

Every instrument on this track was written, played and produced by George Michael.

Last Christmas

Last Christmas Lyrics Wham 1984

Last Christmas I gave you my heart

But the very next day you gave it away

This year, to save me from tears

I'll give it to someone special

Last Christmas I gave you my heart

But the very next day you gave it away

This year, to save me from tears

I'll give it to someone special

Once bitten and twice shy

I keep my distance, but you still catch my eye

Tell me baby, do you recognize me?

Well, it's been a year, it doesn't surprise me

Happy Christmas, I wrapped it up and sent it

With a note saying "I love you", I meant it

Now I know what a fool I've been

But if you kissed me now, I know you'd fool me again

Last Christmas I gave you my heart

But the very next day you gave it away

This year, to save me from tears

I'll give it to someone special

Last Christmas I gave you my heart

But the very next day you gave it away

This year, to save me from tears

I'll give it to someone special

Ooh

Oh, oh, baby

A crowded room, friends with tired eyes

I'm hiding from you and your soul of ice

My God, I thought you were someone to rely on

Me? I guess I was a shoulder to cry on

A face on a lover with a fire in his heart

A man under cover, but you tore me apart

Oh, oh now I've found a real love

You'll never fool me again

Last Christmas I gave you my heart

But the very next day you gave it away

This year, to save me from tears

I'll give it to someone special, special

Last Christmas I gave you my heart

But the very next day you gave it away

This year, to save me from tears

I'll give it to someone special

Special

A face on a lover with a fire in his heart (I gave you mine)

A man under cover but you tore him apart

Maybe next year I'll give it to someone

I'll give it to someone special

Special

So long
